Kohler® Introduces Training Simulation Program at Lawn & Garden Expo
RealVue™ Simulation Technologies, a leading provider of immersive simulation solutions, announced it will partner with Kohler Engines to provide simulation training solutions for Kohler's new Courage vertical crankshaft tractor engine, targeted for the consumer riding lawn tractor market.
The simulation solutions developed by RealVue will support key dealer training needs, allowing technicians to gain in-depth, hands-on experience with the KOHLER Courage engine. Engine technicians responsible for maintenance and repair of KOHLER engine products - including KOHLER Dealers, OEM partners, trade schools, retailers, and central distributors - will be able to gain familiarity with the Courage engine, learn the necessary procedures, and experience the troubleshooting scenarios they will see in real life.
"We are pleased to differentiate ourselves to our clients and partners by providing them with the innovation they expect and deserve from Kohler Engines," said Dave Worden, Senior Training Specialist-Kohler Engines. "This is not to say we'll forgo the face-to-face training programs we currently offer. The simulation training offers the advantage of reaching more technicians in a timely and cost-effective manner, and relieves the technicians of the travel commitments. We are offering the simulation training solutions and all the associated competitive advantages to our dealers to help them achieve the many benefits of a highly trained workforce."
The precise digital technology allows for participants to maneuver around the interior of the engine to troubleshoot, and perform a teardown and re-assembly of the engine.
The program is available on two CDs - the teardown training on one, the troubleshooting component on another. Costs are $25 for one CD or $50 for the full, two-part CD program.
In addition to advanced-training capabilities, the Courage engine simulations will provide a standalone training option to best reach the 13,000 dealer locations worldwide. This capacity will greatly reduce costs associated with acquiring and shipping engines, as well as travel costs for trainers and/or students. The simulations can be multi-purposed to allow on-demand refresher training, an often crucial need for dealers who may not support these engines on a consistent basis.
"We are extremely proud to be working with an organization of Kohler's caliber," said Wayne Adams, senior vice president of RealVue sales and marketing. "The training possibilities using the Courage engine simulations are unlimited, and it is rewarding to see companies recognizing the unsurpassed value of simulation for immersive training and troubleshooting on complex equipment."
The KOHLER Courage engine simulations are the first in a series of solutions for Kohler to further provide tools that help dealers and partners leverage their investment in KOHLER products.
