Kohler Overhauls, Retools and Repowers Web Site
KOHLER, Wis. – March, 2005 – Bringing more horsepower, technological features and convenience to its engines is a constant for Kohler. That same intensity was channeled to the KohlerEngines.com web site, which has been re-launched with a new design and several new and convenient dealer-friendly features.
“It was time to re-engineer our site,” said Chad Severson, vice president-marketing for Kohler. “Our intent was to make it more resourceful for dealers, and make it more of a service and support tool for anyone using KOHLER engines – from end users to OEMs.”
Visitors will benefit from improved navigation tools to locate information such as part and accessory news, the latest training opportunities, or find an engine that best suits a customer need.
A dealer-only log-in allows access to a new online parts look-up system called Kohler PLUS (Parts Look-Up System), and quick links to manuals, price books and training opportunities. In addition, Kohler has brought its warranty claim process online. Dealers can log into www.KohlerPLUS.com and the program automatically populates the warranty form with the dealer’s contact information. The new system will also provide a job code list and maximum allowed labor times that correspond to the engine model being repaired. Once the required areas are complete, the warranty can be submitted to the central distributor, who can confirm or deny the claim via e-mail.
“We know that our mutual success depends on our ability to deliver superior products and services to our dealers and end customers,” said Severson. “We’re confident visitors will benefit from this site, and we hope to hear from visitors about their experiences with our product, dealers and the Web site.”

Service and support: Maintenance schedules, warranty information, trouble-shooting scenarios and frequently asked questions can help customers get the most out of their KOHLER engine.
Classic engines: The KOHLER K-series, Magnum and Triad engines may not be in production any longer, but owners of these classics have continued access to service manuals and parts information.
Manuals: Visitors can download maintenance tips, manuals and training information.
History book: Visitors to the Kohler Engine timeline may be surprised to learn that Kohler produced its first engine in 1920 and that the highly successful K-Series line was introduced in 1951.
